Love, Protest, and Exile: Brazilian Music in the 20th Century

As part of an on-going series of guest lectures in an undergraduate course taught by  Professor Amy Chazkel,  Brazilian History and Culture through its Music, visiting scholar Mary Olezkiewicz  will explore the theme of  Love, Protest, and Exile: Brazilian Music in the 20th Century . This will include a discussion of  Tropicália, the movement in Brazilian popular music in the 1960s and 1970s,  featuring a short performance/exhibition with guitarist Aaron Larget-Caplan. Each lecture is free and open to the public.
