A critical part of Year of Brazil programming involves engaging local ethnic communities with historic ties to Brazil as well as featuring innovative work being done by Queens College students and faculty in Brazil. These Year of Brazil activities advance a core value of Queens College’s educational mission: to embrace, explore, and understand the complexity, interdependence, and vitality of our increasingly interconnected world.
Programming for The Year of Brazil includes in-country study to a selected group of Queens College faculty and staff. The Faculty and Staff Study Tour will help members of the Queens College community gain direct understanding of Brazil and lay the groundwork for possible future collaborations.
Application to the study tour was open to all Queens College faculty and staff, whose applications were submitted and reviewed during the spring 2013 semester. More information about the study tour will be posted here.
Travel dates: May 16 – 27, 2014.
